I loved narrating this book, you guys who know me well know that, subjects like this are of great enjoyment for me to read. I have some promo codes for anyone who is on Audible, who would like to listen in to the book in this version! just contact me here. and send me a message to say you’d like a audio book code. Here’s a bit about the book… I narrated under a pen name of Amethyst!

Calling All Authors/Aspiring Authors…. Take a Look at This #amwriting #author

Afternoon

And happy Easter, I have come across a lot of talented authors and unpublished authors over the last year. I believe in promoting yourself as well as authors, if you’re an author reading this would you like a spot light  for your book or interview on my author site?? There’s no catch I promise.  Let me know and I’ll share it. This is just part of a new direction I’m taking my author site in, I’ve done a few author interviews, personal book reviews and shared new release news for other authors it will now be a permanent feature on kimknight.com.

Another direction I’ll be moving in as well is sharing (more) writing and publishing tips, now I’ve successfully  traditional and self-published four books and now writing my fifth. It’s been an experience I tell you!

If you’re not published as yet, do you have questions or concerns over the process, your work, ideas or anything else?  Maybe I could help if I have list of questions I’ll happily answer them.

Anyone who wants to participate send me a message via the contact Kim page and let’s begin!

Write 16 Chapters in 8 Weeks Can I do It?- Meeting Publisher’s Deadlines #amwriting #romance #thriller #2017

Clock

By now you all know about the romantic thriller I’ve had in mind for the last year, well I’m working on it full time now.  I have agreed to submit the full manuscript to a new publisher for January 2017! They have seen the first three chapters and want more :). Silly me, I’ve not got very far  as I’ve been too busy working on the final for Not Just for Christmas (done),and my short story for the charity book Code Red (done).

When I sent out my work on query to two publishers, I never expected to hear back so soon from either of them. Now, I need to write write write! It’s a good thing the month of November is the month of Nanowrimo – writers try to pen 50,000 words- in a month. Personally I’ve never tried but here goes. I’m on it now I am free to focus on it. The goal for Nanowrimo for me  is two chapters per week, from next week for the next eight weeks. That will leave the month of January, for editing and proof reading and submission. I’m so looking forward to writing this story  to share with you all, if all goes well once the publisher has seen the full story.

Wish me luck! And have a great week.

Seven 5* Amazon Reviews I Want To Share. #amreading #romance #amwriting

Morning,

Yesterday I had a really terrible day (Tuesday) I won’t bore you all with why, it’s a new day. Today -Wednesday I woke up to two more five star reviews for A Stranger in France. This makes a total of seven so far. I swear the last one almost made me want to cry! As I said when I posted my four star review that came back from  Goodreads it humbles me, surprises me and most of all motivates me to know readers so far are enjoying my work.  It’s feedback like this that makes a writer hold on to their own self-belief, that maybe one day they can just write! For the love of it.

Well until that day comes for me, I better continue getting ready for the day job, and focus on writing my third story and the charity book story.  If you’re an aspiring writer, published author whatever you want to call your self bottom line is you have a dream to write … don’t stop, if you get turned down, take it on the chin and keep it moving. If you get told don’t write this write that but you have just one passion- keep it moving believe in yourself! And be you. Good luck!

With love,

Kim

I absolutely adored this book! I felt like I was a fly on the wall during all of Kate’s experiences. The story was great, and I really hope that Kim Knight writes more books that I can read! I love novels written by anyone, but I especially love novels written by a Brit! I love British slang and humor and this book had it all! Kim Knight is awesome! She should be on a top list of authors for people to read, as well as one of the best books of the fall! A Stranger in France is high on my list!

This reminds me of the movie Under The Tuscan Sun. Here, the story unfolds in the beautiful backdrop of France. Seeing their marriage is failing because of her husband, Kate travels to her bestfriend who lives in Marseilles, to take a break from her marriage. During her vacation, she met a charming, tall, dark and hadsome man, Nicholas. You will get entangled with Kate’s journey with twists to entertain all readers. Kate represents a strong woman who has her own mind and strong will.

I volunteered to review the Advance Reader Copy provided by the author.

YOU Decide What Genre Story I Should #Write For #Standup2cancer #Author #Charity Project- Please Vote!

Evening guys,

So a few days ago I told you all about the charity writing project I’m participating in with my publisher, to help raise some money. Myself and a few other authors will write a short story to publish together in one book. The book will be on sale from February 2017, all proceeds from the book sales go to the charity Standup2cancer, we (authors) will not see a penny of it. You can read more about what I’m doing and the project   here  if you missed my blog on this.

Today, I’d like to invite you  help or  decide for me what genre story  I should  write?  I thought this may be fun and also I can’t decide! But today I  got my deadline, so I better get cracking. With your vote, tell me should I write a romance or thriller genre short story to include for publication in February 2017? Our stories can only be 15k max in words, so it’s pretty short. Place a quick vote in below. This vote will be open until the 30th September only.

Thanks in advance.

Have a good weekend

Day #15: Coming Soon- A Christmas Release

Morning guys!

15 days to go until A Stranger in France is officially released, now that bit of work is wrapped up  today I’m working on the brief for the cover design for my second novel released at Christmas. A modern day feel good  romance with a Christmas theme, so if you fancy a nice modern day love story with a great twist to cosy up with this Christmas stay tuned!

Yesterday, I was battling with myself over the cover design for this book. I finished writing this book in July and held off sending a brief to my publisher as  do I go for a general romantic cover that’s eye catching or a Christmas themed one? After talking to a girlfriend of mine  she reconfirmed my thinking, I made up my mind to go with a general romantic cover, that would be eye catching all year around.

Once this is done, for my last day of holiday today before it’s back to the day job tomorrow, I’ll go back to research and writing for my romance suspense story I’m working on. Fingers crossed my publisher likes my proposal for this book enough for a 2017 release!

It’s all go here.

Have a great day it’s a rainy one in London, hope the weather is fine where ever you are.

Day #79 (What a Badass!)

I hit a mile stone of 80,000 words this eve, it’s Friday night and still the night is young only 10.00pm , I’m fully awake and ready to go for hours. I took a break and checked in on Twitter, I read a really uplifting tweet by a fellow writer who liked one of my tweets so naturally I went to her  Twitter page and found she had posted this  article from Writers’ Digest ” 7 Reasons why Writing a Book Makes You a Badass”, I like the sound of that! I read it and smiled all the way through.

The article filled me with pride, motivation, joy, hope  and  renewed my can do attitude to complete my book and publish that badboy!

I never started this book with the mission to become the next Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Jackie Collins, EL James, Martina Cole or JK Rowling  some badass female writers who have made millions from their work in well respected genres, no I started for me, my enjoyment and to get down 1 of 3 story ideas I have on paper. It’s not about money or fame it’s about accomplishment to do this hard but seriously addictive and enjoyable job of writing a book now that I have scored a publishing contact for it. While being a mother, working full time and getting on with life I feel a great sense of motivation kicking in  this evening to finish up the last few chapters and start my editing process, so thank you to the writer who tweeted this.

I better get back to writing, just wanted to share this article with everyone out there who has thought of writing a book or is currently writing, read the link below and get back to your lap top and write you badass 🙂
