She’s on the look out for Beta Readers too. If you’d like to beta read for us, or your a book blogger interested in free Author Review Copies to read  contact me here.

Thank you!

Book Blurb

Going away to college gives LIZA GLASNER a chance to escape her painful and dangerous past…or so she thinks. At fourteen years old, she survived an attack by a famous musician. After that, the media, groupies and crazies hounded her with a merciless cruelty that ruined her life. But now she’s thriving—until an internship brings her face to face with the sizzling hot lead singer of a rock band, and she finds herself drawn to the very thing that once destroyed her. Justice is a temptation she can’t resist…and one that could get her killed.

Sexy rock star JUSTICE CADE is determined to take his band, Savaged Illusions, to the top by winning the Court of Rock T.V. show. Tortured by guilt for failing his family, he believes fame is his only path to redemption. But when the fiery college-intern hiding her beauty beneath baggy sweaters and a snarky attitude bursts into his life, Justice is forced to choose between the woman he loves and the stardom he craves. The wrong choice will cost him more than he can bear.

**This is book one in a trilogy and ends on a cliffhanger. However the next two books are being released in July and September so readers won’t be stranded on the cliff for long!

Excerpt ONE

“I might be a little, tiny bit afraid of this, of how you make me feel.”

“And how’s that?”

“Out of control. Needy.” She licked her lips. “I want to keep kissing you and not think anymore.”

He dragged his thumb along the curve of her neck. “Good.” Leaning down, he pressed his mouth to hers. “When you want it bad enough that it hurts, when you can’t bear not having me inside you, then you’ll be ready.” Pulling back, he released her. “But that’s not tonight. Unfortunately.”

Happy Father’s Day, Mom!

I love how this post has been wrote. So much truth, just a reminder that if you are raised by just a woman you’re more than fine! My mum has done a great job with my sisters and I. She said the same thing your mum said to me about having both parents. Salute to all the mama’s handling business on their own. Such a sweet reminder of a woman’s strength when need be. Thanks for sharing. And I love you Mum!

Life of an Introvert

Being a father is not just being the male parent in the family. It is deeper than that.
As much as I hate to be stereotypical and sexist, society has long been dictating that being a father means providing well for the family, protecting the family, making sure everyone is comfortable and has their needs and so on. All these things are for me, stereotypical and sexist. Even if you have not given your sperm as contribution to make a child, even if you do not have a child, you can be a “father”. You may be a woman, man, lesbian, gay, bisexual etc., you can and you may be a father figure to everyone around you.

And for the longest time, we were raised to not be held captive of stereotypes and gender issues.

I can remember having a conversation with my mom when I was 7 years old…

Gender Equality, Feminism, Chivalry and Sexism (I am all over the place so try to not judge me and how I wrote this)

Just read it! I was once a pregnant woman myself, I’d guess they are priority as they are at risk in crowded situations. Also more likely to need to rest.

Life of an Introvert

This may sort of be a long read, but please please do read it. I really need your opinion, I crave for a discussion on matters like this. So please please please help.

I often have discussions like this with Kyx especially when we’re stuck in bad traffic.

How do we all fight for “Gender Equality” in a world that cries for chivalry, in a world that takes “feminism” in a whole different manner, in a world where if not all, most people are clueless how “gender equality” works.

How can we all be politically correct in all these? How can we live by gender equality when we could all be ignorant at times and how can we stop sexism?

Okay, let’s see how this goes.

  1. When you look “Gender equality” up on Google, the first thing you’d come across is how Wikipedia defined it. “Gender equality, also known…

What Camp Are You In For National Novel Writing Month? #nanowrimo #writerslife #amwriting

women writer funny

I’m limbering up for July’s marathon month of writing, with fellow writers around the world. I’m excited to take part in National Novel Writing month for the second time! I’ve updated my profile and jumped into a writing camp.  I just clicked “surprise me with random cabin mates.” This time I don’t care what group/camp I’m assigned to. I look forward to motivating, and being motivated by random writers around the world in my camp. I’ve set my goal : write book #3 of my romance series, predicting about 25,000 words for this short story. Saturday night… it’s show time!

If you’re doing Nanowrimo in July, what camp are you in? Have you signed up to one? Those of us that are taking part let’s keep in contact throughout July.

Good luck writers!!

Good Morning, It Can Wait Until Monday!: Friday Feeling… What You Up To? #fridayfeeling #weekend

Friday 2

Is it Friday yet in your part of the world? If so that’s right, we’ve made it through another week guys. It’s only 8:00 a.m London time, but to quote the Russian Femme Fatale,  I really enjoyed writing so much for  writing for week 5’s short story…

” vhere vodka an’ shot glass?”

Vodka

Already I feel like celebrating the fact, I made it through a very busy week, with a shot. I’ll try and hold out until midday at least 🙂 . It’s been a crazy week of trying to meet deadlines, working, caring for the family, trying to de-clutter / clean the house and in between to sleep. Noticed I used “try” only half of this I actually got done.

How do you feel? What’s your week been like?

What are you up to this weekend? What’s on the to – do list? Here’s mine

  1. Finalise the last chapter of Lover’s Retreat, hand the manuscript to my editor and beta readers. I’ve done it! Knocked out 30,000 odd words whoop whoop! .. now vhere vodka?
  2. Paint my nails (finally).
  3. De-clutter a room in the house ( finally).
  4. Start working on the very special twist Didi and I have planned for Kim and Did’s Suspenseful Collection.
  5. Outline  in a bit more detail, the short story idea I have for book three of my Romance Set In Paradise Series.
  6. Do some washing or laundry if you’re one of my American Friends.
  7. Finish reading the short story author E Denise Billups sent me. Continue reading  author Sara Ackerman’s historical romance.
  8. Listen to some music!
  9. Write a letter to a few pen pals who think I’ve dropped off the face of the earth.
  10. Have a wonderful time hanging out with friends and family… leaving my 99 problems until Monday!

Have a great last working day of the week. Be safe whatever you do this weekend. Please do share your to-do list with me? Are you going anywhere nice?

Here’s the Reality Check For Writers

My gosh how sobering is this article? These figures really are something to digest. That said, I don’t think any writer should be discouraged, just have it in the background . A great read. Thanks for sharing.

A Writer's Path

by Doug Lewars

According to Forbes there are between 600 thousand and a million books published each year and roughly half are self-published. The average number of sales per volume is less than 250.

That’s not encouraging.

Of course I have no idea where Forbes came up with these numbers. Still, they tend to be pretty careful about what they publish so let’s assume the numbers are real. Now, if you are capable of writing, editing and publishing say, two books per year, and if you want to earn a conservative income of say, $30,000, then you would need royalties of $60 per volume. Given that publishers rather like taking their cut, your book would probably need to be priced around a hundred dollars. Better make that next book non-fiction.
