I found this super cool blog via another blogger’s challenge I read.  Bikurgul challenges us every Wednesday, with a picture as a writing prompt. Check out her challenges and interesting blog! This week this picture spoke to me, I love the beach and water. Also of late I’ve spent many hours researching exotic locations and beaches in every corner of the world, while I  visualise them and write steamy but heartfelt romance in exotic locations. I could not pass up this week’s challenge . Thanks Birkurgul  here’s my participation  🙂

Blue skies surround me, and I feel the warm sand between my toes. There’s something about this place I love it, it feels like my “special place.”

Every time I’ve been here I’ve felt a sense of ease, peace and the ability to be free.

At times I wish this place is nearer to me, I live in a big city called London you see. I need to get on the train, which is such a shame, why can’t it be nearer to me??? Whenever I visit this place, I just sit and watch the ocean’s rhythm as it kisses the sand.  In my dreams it could be the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, or even the paradise of the

Caribbean Ocean ….any one will do. In my mind’s eye I’m sitting under a palm tree, with a cocktail, my laptop, journal and good romance novel. This dream and vision sounds like some kind of

Heaven to me!

Romance Writers’ Blog Challenge Wk #23: “If I Could Eat One Last Meal” #MFRW

I’m fashionably late and behind again, with the romance writers’ #52 week blogging challenge *sighs*.  But I’ll jump back in on week #23. I adore food, this is probably one area of  life that I’m so versatile, and will try almost anything. My parents originate from the Caribbean, growing up I ate mainly this type of food. I guess even though my mum immigrated here to London years ago, she has never left her roots. Even English dishes she cooks are sprinkled with some kind of Carib twist.

The other day I made this dish,  I was so proud of it (I do love to cook also) I took a snap. It’s Caribbean chicken using my mum’s secret recipe. If I could eat one last meal I think it would be this. Well marinated, slow cooked, chicken, rice and beans with a coconut flavour and of course can’t forget the salad.

When my mum cooks this dish it tastes ten times better than mine, I can never quite get it the same, but mine is still yummy. She also likes to add Plantains to the dish. These are like bananas but not quite, and they are so sweet! You can fry them, boil them and even make crisps or potato chips if you’re from the USA from them. You’ll find them in many hot countries. Sometimes she’ll throw in a lil’ potato salad too.

The Caribbean is such a wonderful part of the world when it comes to food. Food is like a way to celebrate, and to bring people together. Flavour and spice is a big part of the culture. Never boring and never bland. Caribbean food is cooked with love, care and passion. I’ve heard this said about Italian culture and food also.

Writing Prompt: Apprentice- Learning On the Job. 18+ reading! #amreading #romance #newrelease

Apprentice

Today’s WordPress writing prompt word is apprentice. I like this word it could apply to  Detective Sebastian Garcia, the hero in book #1 on my Romance Set in Paradise series. He’s learning something new, having a new experience and a total apprentice learning “on the job.” Here’s an excerpt from Havana Heat. Over 18 only!!

Sebastian has experienced a variety women of all races and cultures sexually, but never a woman of Caribbean descent. Not because he was against it, quite the opposite. The opportunity just never presented itself until today. To Sebastian, Melinda is a picture of pure beauty, he admires her soft petite features as she relaxes with her eyes closed.

Leaning slightly more forward on his knees, he takes the plunge into a new experience as he bends his head between Melinda’s legs and tastes her intimately.  She tastes just as delightful as he imagines, he makes quick work of bringing her to a spine tingling climax.

Melinda’s body shudders against the hot sand, she grasps a rock to steady her climax. Melinda breathes deeply.

“Sebastian oh, wow.”

Sebastian giggles at the mention of his name, said in a deep breathy voice.

“Shhh, someone will hear you.”

He playfully teases Melinda and intensifies the touch between her legs, Melinda’s response is to simply close her eyes and enjoy the waves of pleasure running through her body.

Satisfied with a good job done Sebastian removes his wet boxer shorts filled with grainy sand, he then manoeuvres himself between Melinda’s legs.

On his knees with Melinda on her back in front of him he raises both of her legs, he then places both of them onto his shoulders, bent at the knees. Slowly he teases Melinda by running the tip of his fully erect penis up and down the entrance of her intimate area. He moans in a low tone and throws his head back, Sebastian continues to rock backward and forward stimulating her entrance with the tip of his penis. The pleasure for them both is intense, he can feel Melinda’s entrance become slick with her wetness in response to his stimulation….. TO BE CONTINUED.

Now, I could continue this scene  and post more of the chapter… but I won’t spoil the fun! Don’t worry it’s not all sex there is actually a very enjoyable story also. Good morning from a sun kissed London!

Today is set to be the hottest day of the year so far across the UK’s capital, and of course I’m thrilled. I’m not basking in the powerful heat of the Caribbean, but London will do for now. As of 3:00 a.m this morning my next romance novella Havana Heat is complete! I had a burst of creative stamina, which took me through until an ungodly hour writing. But I am on a massive high I finished writing before my deadline. Which means a new earlier release date 12th May 2017 on Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes and Noble, Apple ibooks and many more platforms! Later on tonight, I will crack on with book #2 of #4 of my Romance in Paradise series. I hope to release book #2 shortly after Havana Heat. Hello!

I’ve been quiet I know, no writing prompts, short stories or poems blogged. I have been dormant. But never mind me, behind the scene I’ve been tapping away at my keyboard since my return from France. I’m (very) please to share with you the cover for my next romance novella.  Book one of a series I’ve been working on called Romance in Paradise . Romance in Paradise is a series of four modern, romantic, suspenseful and steamy stories set in some of the most exotic locations around the world. Book one is Havana Heat, set in Cuba in the Caribbean… writing this book and brainstorming for the others has put me in the mood to sip some rum on a beach somewhere hot, I’m loving the research and writing  needed to transport readers into a slice of paradise.
