Guest Post- Meet The Author

Can you, for those who don’t know you already, tell something about yourself and how you became an author?

I have always been a writer. I’ve done it forever according to my parents. I joined the creative writing club in High School. I first became published on a dare from my best friend in 2015. I’ve continued to publish since then.

 

Tell us something really interesting that’s happened to you!

Interesting or naughty, lol? I know never to get nekkid in the back of a Gremlin! Being caught once is enough!

 

What are some of your pet peeves?

I absolutely hate talking on the phone with someone chewing gum or eating. Ask my parents. I’ve hung up on them more than once.

 

Where were you born/grew up at?

I was born and raised in Illinois. Moved to California and settled in Wisconsin. I loved the fast pace and ocean in California, but it is too crowded.

 

If you knew you’d die tomorrow, how would you spend your last day?

With my family. Five years ago, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor (which is mostly gone and never turned cancerous thank goodness!) and it changes your perspective on what is important.

 

What kind of world ruler would you be?

Not a good one! I am usually pretty laid back but if I get pissed, I’d likely drop a bomb on whoever pissed me off. I don’t hold a grudge, but it would be hard to take back a bomb once it’s deployed.

 

What do you do to unwind and relax?

I read, cook and sew. I love to sew. I actually took quite a few sewing classes in college. I used to make all my children’s clothes and my work clothes. My favorite outfit I made was a pair of coveralls covered in cartoon skunks, lol. Comfortable and off the wall!

 

Do you have a favorite movie?

My favorite movie is The Day After Tomorrow. It is one I’ve watched probably twenty times. I had to buy a new disc because I wore it out. I’m not a big fan of chick flicks or romance movies. My parents think it is hilarious since I write romance.

 

Which of your novels can you imagine made into a movie?

A Saint’s Salvation. It is one of the few that wouldn’t be shown in a movie theatre with sticky floors!

 

As a writer, what would you choose as your mascot/avatar/spirit animal?

A Dragon, of course!
